The South Carolina Alliance to Fix Our Roads (SCFOR) was established in 1981 and is the only statewide organization solely focused on advocating and educating on behalf of safe and efficient transportation infrastructure. Over the years, we have consistently advocated for sustainable funding to address South Carolina’s transportation infrastructure needs.
SCFOR is made up of business leaders, associations, and chambers of commerce who believe that a safe and efficient highway system is essential to continuing our state’s economic growth.
Throughout the year, SCFOR provides timely information and weekly updates to our members. We maintain a presence at the SC Statehouse during the legislative session and regularly attend all SCDOT Commission and State Transportation Infrastructure Bank meetings. In addition, SCFOR also participates in speaking engagements to local groups across the state and continues to utilize our social media presence to engage and educate the public on transportation infrastructure issues.
Our membership in ARTBA’s Transportation Investment Advocates Council allows us to follow transportation issues at the federal and state level. It also provides us with access to many great resources as well as opportunities to work with and learn from peer groups in other states.
Our annual meeting serves as an educational and networking opportunity for our members and guests. This one-day meeting is held in the fall and brings together federal, state, and local stakeholders to discuss transportation trends.
Annual membership dues investments support our core mission of advocating and educating for safe and efficient transportation infrastructure in South Carolina. For more information about how your business or organization can become a member of SCFOR, please contact our Executive Director, Jennifer Patterson.
Together, we can continue to move South Carolina forward.
